    State of the art
    15 Among the different forms of presentation and commercialization of products intended for infusions, such as coffee and others, a solution that is currently very much in practice is the presentation in capsules containing a dosed quantity of infusion product.
    20 A conventional type of capsules in this regard are capsules constituted by a small trunk-shaped container of aluminum or plastic foil, with closure by means of a foil fixed on the mouth, housing the infusion product inside.
    Said capsules are intended for use in infusion preparation machines,
    25 in which a liquid, essentially water, is heated on the capsule closure sheet, so that it penetrates inside, where it is impregnated with the substance of the infusion product, thus carrying out an infusion that is supplied by an exit to the outside of the machine.
    30 There are machines for preparing infusions with said capsules, which have a head provided with needles, through which the capsule closure sheet is perforated so that the hot liquid under pressure can enter the interior and establish contact with the product of Infusion contained within the capsules.
    For this operation the capsules must be held in a specific position within the infusion preparation machine, which is determined by a relationship between

    the shape of the capsules and the shape of the insertion housing in the machines, so that the capsules can only be inserted into the machine in one position. But in addition, the clamping of the capsules has to be done tightly, so that the function of the infusion is carried out effectively by means of the hot liquid under pressure.
    For that tightness, the capsules made of plastic are determined with a peripheral flange at the mouth, of a softer plastic material than the rest of the capsule body, which makes the constructive realization of said capsules complicated and expensive ; while the capsules made of aluminum foil are determined with a peripheral flange in the mouth, on which a coating of an elastic material is applied which is applied as a paint on said flange of the capsule; This solution is also complicated and expensive, in addition to the fact that the layer of elastic material applied as a coating does not ensure a seal effectiveness to achieve the tightness of the capsules.
    Object of the invention
    According to the invention, a capsule for infusions is proposed, with an embodiment that provides structural performance characteristics that make it constructively advantageous and for use in infusion preparation machines.
    This capsule object of the invention consists of a container body with a truncated conoid shape, made of aluminum foil and opened by the main base, said body at the edge of the mouth determining a peripheral wing towards the outside, on which a sheet is fixed of closing covering the mouth, also incorporating on said peripheral wing a ring of elastic material, which is fixedly attached to that peripheral wing of the container body by heat welding.
    There is thus a capsule in which the ring of elastic material acts as a seal for sealing the capsule in the infusion preparation machines, with great effectiveness for said function, since it constitutes a layer of material elastic that when compressed by pressure establishes a perfect seal; said ring being also provided on the outer edge with a backing which determines as a flange, which further increases the effectiveness to establish the tightness when a clamping is made on the peripheral wing to hold the capsule in the preparation machines of infusions

    Furthermore, since the ring of elastic material is an independent element that is fixed after the conformation of the container body of the capsule, does not affect the realization of said container body and the subsequent fixation of said ring on the peripheral wing of said container body of the capsule, it is very easy to perform.
    Therefore, the recommended capsule results from very advantageous performance characteristics, acquiring its own life and preferential character with respect to conventional capsules of the same type that are used for the preparation of infusions in machines of said function.

    Detailed description of the invention
    The object of the invention relates to a capsule for infusions, of which they are used in infusion preparation machines, in which a pressurized liquid is projected to penetrate the capsule and be impregnated with the substance of a product of infusion contained inside.
    30 The recommended capsule consists of a container body (1) made of aluminum foil, presenting a truncated conoid shape opened by the major base, where a closure foil (2) is provided that covers the mouth, going inside a quantity dosed of an infusion product (3).
    At the edge of the mouth the container body (1) has a peripheral wing (4) towards the outside, on which the closure sheet (2) is fixed establishing a hermetic seal

    that keeps the product (3), with its aroma and effluents, confined inside.
    On that peripheral wing (4) of the edge of the mouth of the container body (1) is arrangedalso an accessory ring (5) of elastic material, which is fixed in a solidary manner5 by heat welding on said peripheral wing (4).
    Said accessory ring (5) has a thickening (5. 1) on the outer edge, by means of which it determines by way of a flange on the outer contour of the peripheral wing (4), on which the rest of the ring (5) determines a layer of elastic material that is superimposed

    This results in a capsule in which the container body (1) is closed tightly by the closure sheet (2), containing inside the infusion product (3) fully protected and isolated from the outside, the assembly presenting a appropriate form
    15 for insertion into the infusion preparation machines and clamping them inside in position to be drilled the closing sheet (2) by a needle head, so that a projection of hot liquid under pressure penetrates the interior for impregnation with the substance of the product (3), thus carrying out the infusion.
    20 For this function, the ring (5) of elastic material fixed on the peripheral wing (4) of the edge of the mouth of the container body (1), acts as a seal so that the capsule can be held with a great effectiveness of tightness by pressing on the peripheral wing (4), thus allowing to optimize the operative function of carrying out the infusions in the capsule machines.
